We picked Audrey up from the SPCA in July '09. As best as we can tell, she's part Jack Russel Terrier and part Whippet. Mix these two breeds and you get a Velocimutt. Audrey is an extremely fast high performance animal! her top speed is around 30mph for about 1/5 of a mile and can run at about 12mph non-stop for well over an hour. Audrey is an excellent hunting dog, displaying the best features of her parents and excluding the worst. She will chase anything that she sees running and when her quarry stops, Audrey will stop, point and bark in the direction of the now exhausted animal. She does not attack anything as her instincts only tell her to chase and point. She is very intelligent and very affectionate and loves meeting new people which is why she is so at home on the boat.
