Join my good friend, Captain Tony on his custom-designed 22ft glass bottom boat "Coral Reefer". No other glass bottom boat in Bermuda has as much range over the reef. With only 6 inches of boat under the water (2 feet less than the bigger competitors) Tony can cut out the engine and drift silently over reefs that are sometimes less than a foot below the surface! You'll sneak up on vibrant parrotfish and other elusive fish the big boats rarely see. Its like snorkeling without getting wet, or walking on water! At the wreck of the HMS Vixen you'll have a chance to climb aboard the wreckage* and get splashed in the face as you reach over the side to feed schools of voracious fish by hand! Peer into the semi-submerged bow of the wreck to spot giant rockfish (80lbs plus!) that lurk within its shadows and frequently emerge to cash in on the feeding frenzy - as predators - an arms length away! You won't see this on any other glass bottom boat tour unless you get very lucky! Tony's got some tricks up his sleeve the others can't copy due to their size constraints. On the nearby sea grass flats, you'll also spend some time spotting green sea turtles as they surface to breathe and learn fascinating facts about their reproduction and comeback from near extinction. Since "Coral Reefer" is the only Bermuda glass bottom boat small enough to pass through Somerset drawbridge, Tony is often able to offer an alternative return route with expanded sightseeing territory**. Captain Tony is always happy to answer questions about Bermuda, but beware - Tony doesn't know any short answers! Tony has built an island-wide reputation for running excellent tours and many companies' good reputations are a direct result of Tony running their excursions and training their crew. After 22 years of working for "the man", Tony is now working for himself. For more information and reservations, click here to go to Tony's website, Aquatic Bermuda.
